Resident Lama, Geshes, Monks and Teachers

 


Lama Drubchen Rinpoche

Gianpa Namgial was born in 1973. At the age of twelve he entered Gianpali Monastery in the Muli region of Central Tibet and was recognized as the reincarnation of the VI Lama Drupchen Rinpoche.
In 1991 he entered Sera Mey Monastic University in India where he obtained the Lingse Ghesce degree in 2004.
In 2007 he returned to his monastery Khang Dar Ling in Tibet to teach Buddhist philosophy.
Since 2011 the Drubchen Rinpoche has been teaching Buddhist philosophy and officiating Buddhist ceremonies and rites at the Milan and Albagnano branches of Kunpen Lama Gangchen.


Geshe Janchup Gyaltsen

Geshe Janchup Gyltsen was born in 1961. In 1979 he entered the Ganden Monastery in the South of India where he studied for the “Geshe Lharampa, the equivalent of a Doctorate degree in Buddhist Philosophy and Psychology.
There he deepened his knowledge and practice of traditional monastic rites until 1997 when he was first invited to the Kunpen Lama Gangchen Centre in Milan, Italy.
Since then he has been teaching the Dharma in the Centres of the Ngalso Lineage located in Italy, Europe and worldwide.
Thanks to the comprehensive nature of his experience and qualifications, he is often invited to the Dharma Centres of the Gelupa tradition such as the Trijang Buddhist Institute in Vermont, USA and the Kechara Centre of Tzem Rinpoche in Malaysia.


Geshe Lobsang Phuntsok

Geshe Lobsang Phuntsok was born in 1969 in Darjeeling, India from Tibetan parents. Following the direct advice of H.H Trijang Dorje Chan he was sent to a monastery in 1979. From 1982 to 1995 he studied the five major topics of Buddhist philosophy, completed all the Buddhist studies and obtained the Geshe Larampha degree in 2001.
In 2002 Ven. Gonsar Rinpoche invited him to give teachings to the young Yangzie Trijang Rinpoche and other students in Tashi Rabten, Austria.
He followed Kyabe Trijang Chocktrul Rinpoche to the USA and worked for him from 2004 to 2016 in his Centre, the Trijang Buddhist Institute in Vermont,USA. Since then he has been teaching students there.
In 2020, he completed a four- year meditation retreat in Italy and since then he has been a resident Geshe at Albagnano Healing Meditation Centre .


Lobsang Tenzin

Lobsang Tenzin Lama was born in 1965. At the age of 15 he entered the Shar Gaden monastery in India where he studied Buddhist philosophy and perfected his skills in the preparation and execution of sacred rituals, sand mandalas and the recitation of sacred melodies.
In 1998 he was invited to Italy and for many years he has lived in Milan at the Kunpen Lama Gangchen Centre. Since then he has been involved in spreading the Dharma in Italy and elsewhere in Europe; he regularly conducts Buddhist ceremonies and rituals at the Kunpen Lama Gangchen in Milan and Albagnano as well as at the other Centres of the NgalSo Ganden Nyengyu tradition. Since 2020 he has been a resident monk at the Albagnano Healing Meditation Centre.


Thubten Chiring

Thupten Chiring Sherpa was born 1963. At the age of seven he entered the Nyanang Phelgyeling Monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal where he completed his studies in Buddhist philosophy. He continued his training at Kopan Monastery for seven years and on his return to the Nyanang Phelgyeling Monastery, he taught child monks for three years. After finishing his studies, the Monastery allowed him to travel to other Asian countries: Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and then to Europe to bring the message of the Buddha and his expertise of conducting traditional rituals.
In 1997 he was invited to Milan in Italy by Kunpen Lama Gangchen.He then travelled to many countries in Europe and America to conduct Buddhist rituals, to make sand mandalas and to participate in interreligious meetings. He still teaches the Dharma and how to conduct traditional rituals at the Kunpen Lama Gangchen Centre in Albagnano and Milan as well as in other Buddhist centres in Italy and in many other countries.


Lama Thubten Wangchuck

Lama Thubten Wangchuck was born in Barcelona on 3 December 1970. He began to study Dharma with Venerable Lama Gyatsem at the Dag Shang Kagyu. He took Getsul vows at Gangden Choling in Menorca in 1991.
He has completed retreats of Chenrezig, Sanghye Menla, Green Tara and Vajrayoghini. He is lineage holdder of Kum-gye, Nangpa Neljor. He is currently studying and practising the teachings of Lama Gangchen Rinpoche.


Francesco Prevosti

Francesco Prevosti, born in Varese on June 25th 1956, began his research on Buddhism and eastern philosophy around 1970.He received his first formal Buddhist teaching in 1977 from Geshe Jampel Senge Ati and Geshe Rabten Rinooche. He met and became a disciple of Lama Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche who were amongst the first Tibetan masters to come to the west.
Francesco lived in monastic vows from 1979 to 1992. During these years he received many teachings of Sutra and Tantra and empowerments from the great Lamas of the four schools of Tibetan Buddhism, including H.H. XIV Dalai Lama, H.H. the Panchen Lama, Kyabje Trijang Dorje Chang, Kyabje Ling Rinpoche, Kyabje Song Rinpoche, Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, H.H. Sakya Trizin, Dudjom Rinpoche, Gonsar Rinpoche, Serkong Rinooche, Gomo Tulku, Kalu Rinpoche and other Masters.
He met Lama Gangchen Tulku Rinpoche in 1985 and became his photographer and video operator, personal translator.
Over the years, he has been many times on pilgrimage to sacred Buddhist places and he has completed many meditation retreats under the direct guide of his Masters .He has been studying Indian sideral astrology and Chinese-Tibetan astrology in relation to Buddhist teachings for over 25 years.
He presently teaches and guides meditations, retreats together with the Tekchen Sojon transmission of the 8 Mahayana Precepts, study and discussion groups on Buddhist subjects, Lam Rim, NgalSo Self Healing at the Kunpen Lama Gangchen in Milan and at the Albagnano Healing Meditation Centre, and he takes parts in groups of inter-religious meetings in the spirit of Lama Gangchen Tulku Rinpoche’s life work.


Gabriella Lo Re

Gabriella Lo Re took a diploma in Nuclear Energy, then decided to go to India to search for a deeper meaning to life. She saw masters of various traditions and met Lama Gangchen Rinpoche in Nepal in 1993. Since then she has accompanied him and taken care of many tasks during spiritual journeys to Buddhist countries, European countries, Southern America, and the United States.
Gabriella moved to Albagnano in 1999 to take part in establishing the Albagnano Healing Meditation Centre. She is a founding member of the Board, responsible for the Natural Healing department and coordinator of spiritual activities and the programmes.
Over the years, Gabriella has been intensely dedicated to spiritual learning and she has completed many retreats in the Buddhist Vajrayana tradition (in particular, the NgalSo Self Healing techniques and Shin Kham JongSo: Making Peace with the Environment). She has received many teachings from important spiritual masters of direct lineage such as Lama Gangchen Rinpoche, Trijang Choktrul Rinpoche, Demo Gonsar Rinpoche, Geshe Yeshe Wangchuk, Gurudeva Rinpoche and many others.
Gabriella has always been interested in healing methods. She holds a diploma as Reiki Master and she completed the Master diploma at the Naturopathy University of Rudy Lanza. She is a specialist in Bach, Australian and Californian flower therapies.


Amji Tseten

Amji Tsetan was born in 1979 in Dakshu, Tibet.
He obtained his degree in Tibetan medicine in 2001 at the University of Traditional Medicine in Lhasa. His studies there included astrology and various traditional therapeutic systems such as diet, acupuncture, Himalayan herbs, massage, moxi combustion and cupping.
Amji Tsetan worked in several clinics in Tibet and Nepal until he came to Italy in 2007 to follow Lama Gangchen Rinpoche and his healing work. Since then he has pratised his profession in many countries.
In 2021 he obtained a Diploma from the Italian Massage Academy and now offers health advice and massage in accordance with the principles of Tibetan traditional medicine.
He lives with his family in Albagnano where he also works for the Centre in many capacities.
