The Eight Mahayana Precepts transmission

Maitreya Buddha said: ‘Anyone who follows the Dharma of Shakyamuni Buddha by keeping the Eight Mahayana Precepts will be reborn as my disciple.’ On the day of the full moon, we are going to receive the Eight Mahayana Precepts, eight vows that are being mantained for one day. This practice has a great power of purification and allows the generation of an extremely vast positive karma on the Path to Enlightenment. The precepts ceremony has to be performed before sunrise and the precepts have to be kept until the dawn of the following day.
