Together on the Path: Lam Rim course based on the text “Liberation in the Palm of Your Hand” of Paponka Rinpoche with Lama Michel Rinpoche

10.30am – 1.30 pm

The Lam Rim, translated as “Gradual Path,” is a fundamental teaching of Tibetan Buddhism that guides practitioners through a systematic journey toward enlightenment. Based on the teachings of the Buddha, the Lam Rim was first structured by the Indian master Atisha and later expanded by Je Tsong Khapa, who wrote the “Lam Rim Chen Mo,” a detailed work that explores the stages of the path in relation to three types of practitioners: those of lower, medium, and higher capacities.

In Pabonka Rinpoche’s book “Liberation in the Palm of Your Hand,” the Lam Rim is presented as a practical method for developing the mind and addressing inner afflictions. Rinpoche emphasizes the importance of renunciation, bodhicitta (the altruistic intention to attain enlightenment for the benefit of others), and the understanding of emptiness. These elements are essential for progressing on the spiritual path and realizing the true nature of reality.

The Lam Rim is not merely a series of instructions; it is an invitation to deeply reflect on one’s life and motivations. Through the practice of suggested meditations, practitioners can develop a clear vision of their spiritual aspirations and learn to navigate daily challenges with greater awareness and compassion. In this way, the Lam Rim serves as a valuable guide for anyone wishing to embark on a journey of personal and spiritual growth.

Open Eyes Chenrezig with Lama Caroline

3.30 pm – 5.30 pm

The name Chenrezig (in tibetan) or Avalokiteshvara (in sanskrit) means the Lord Who Has Compassion for All Sentient Beings. For over 2000 years he has been one of the most popular Buddhas in the pantheon of Mahayana Buddhism.

His practice serves to develop unconditional love, compassion and the mind of enlightenment (bodhichitta), the essence of the Vast Path and transcendental wisdom. In particular Open Eyes Chenrezig heals all problems related to the eye and help to develop the wisdom eyes.

The Dharma is precious and has no price. Therefore, in accordance with tradition, an offering can be made for this activity according to each person’s possibilities and choice.
