Yamantaka is the wrathful manifestation of Manjusri, the Buddha of Wisdom. Yamantaka Tantra offers us a key to understanding and harmonising the energies of body and mind with those of the world in which we live. The practice of this tantra helps us to achieve better management of uncontrolled negative emotions, particularly those involving inner violence and aggression, to develop clarity, to overcome the limitations of closed minds and to improve our intellectual abilities.
It is an antidote to anxieties and fears, particularly the deepest one, the fear of death.
The Yamantaka retreat is an intensive practice of meditation and recitation. It is based on the text: Long sadhana of the Transcendental Destroyer, Solitary Hero Vajrabhairava called “Victory over all negative forces” Composed by Je Pabongka Rinpoche. It guides us through the different visualisations and mantra recitation.
Origins of the teachings
The practice of Yamantaka is based on the secret Mahamudra Ganden Nyengyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism.
The Yamantaka teaching is among the Mahanuttara Non-Dual tantras. In today’s degenerate age, Yamantaka Tantra is an excellent method for purifying negative karma, particularly that arising from aversion and hatred.
Its practice leads to the realisations of the union of Clear Light and Illusory Body and the inner fire of Tummo.
In the catalogue section of the NgalSo shop, in the following WhatsApp account, you can find the sadhana for this retreat: https://wa.me/p/7422902061132914/393517156678
The retreat takes place in 4 daily sessions. It is open to all and participation can be as short as a few days but, for the period chosen, it is necessary to attend at least one session per day.
