The Healing Sound: First Level Tibetan Bells Course

from 10.00 am – 1.00 pm and 3.30 pm – 6.00 pm

The training course proposed by Master Thonla consists of three basic levels and numerous possibilities for specialisation. The aim of the project is not only to train holistic practitioners specialised in Tibetan bells, but to open up for each participant a way into their own interiority through sound harmonies. Its offer therefore mobilises not only individual technical skills but also deeper spiritual dimensions. In the FIRST LEVEL you will be engaged in the knowledge of bowls and the production of sound: the history, culture, and technique of ancient and modern bell making will be illustrated, their shapes and sound qualities will be explored. The connections between sound, body and mind will be explained, and a true philosophy of sound, built on its male or female nature and the way it is produced, will be proposed. Images and texts drawn from Himalayan wisdom will be used, so as to approach the bell at a more subtle level than is usually done. The practical part of this first level is devoted to the techniques of sound production, male and female or chiming. There will be moments of common and individual practice in which the fundamental methods of self-treatment will be learnt.

The sound of the Tibetan bell generates different frequencies that help create the energy wave that balances the relationship between body and mind.
