We will then move into Vipassana/Insight teachings and practices based on the four domains/foundations of mindfulness, through a general overview of the teachings, and we will engage in the practice with this perspective…along with some specific mindfulness based insight teachings and practices that will be offered along the way.

In the sequent days we will bring our attention back to the Anapanasati practice to continue strengthening and deepening our capacity for a clear and focused attention until it appears in our ongoing body/mind/heart continuum.
During the retreat we will observe the five precepts of a lay practitioner. Those who would like to explore the practice by observing the eight precepts are also very welcome. Together we will have daily evening Dhamma Talks, Dhamma contemplation and/or guided session as well as shorter morning reflections and/or practice instructions (mostly in the morning during the after-breakfast group session). Students are requested to attend all the scheduled group sessions. Bhante Anuruddha offers one-on-one practice meetings every two days for each student. Some students may choose to sit more independently some times. This option can be discussed with the teacher during the practice meetings.

In accordance with the tradition, the teachings are offered freely on a Dana (donation) basis.

Programme

30th January

10.30 am -12 .30 am Introduction to the course

1.00 pm lunch
2.30 pm – 3.00 pm walking meditation
3.00 pm – 4.00 pm sitting meditation
4.00 pm – 4.30 pm walking meditation
4.30pm – 5.00 pm Break
5.00 pm- 6.45 pm sitting meditation and question and answer session
7.00 pm- 8.00 pm dinner
8.00 pm – 9.30 pm Dharma Contemplation

31st January and 1st February

6.30 am – 8.00 am meditation
10.00 am -10.30 am walking meditation
10.45 am- 12.30 am meditation
1.00 pm lunch
2.30 pm- 3.00 pm walking meditation
3.00 pm – 4.00 pm sitting meditation
4.00 pm- 4.30 pm walking meditation
4.30 pm- 5.00 pm Break
5.00 pm- 6.45 pm sitting meditation and question and answer session
7.00 pm – 8.00 pm dinner
8.00 pm – 9.30 pm Dharma contemplation

2st February

6.30 am – 8.00 am meditation
10.00 am -10.30 am walking meditation
10.45 am- 11.30 am meditation

The Dharma is precious and has no price.
