The Centre of Kunpen Lama Gangchen in Milan, open since 1989, has been recently renovated and the meditation room (gompa) is a beautiful example of traditional Buddhist art.
Founded for the study and dissemination of Vajrayana Buddhism, the Centre offers many opportunities to deepen knowledge of Buddhist philosophy and psychology. Thanks to the presence of resident lamas, it also frequently offers traditional rituals of healing and relaxation.
Members have the opportunity to hear introductory teachings on the NgalSo Tantric Self-Healing methods and the basic principles of Buddhism, participate in transmission initiation ceremonies and meditative practices, taught by qualified lamas.
In addition, it hosts courses and seminars on various techniques for physical and psychological well-being, such as Reiki, music therapy, art therapy and so on.
Every year during the month of Vesak, commemorating the birth, enlightenment and parinirvana of Buddha Shakyamuni, the Centre organises an interreligious prayer with the representatives of various spiritual traditions participating in the Forum of Religions.
For further information on the activities of the Centre, see the programme.
